Road vehicles — Safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF)
Addresses hazards caused by functional insufficiencies in the intended functionality or by reasonably foreseeable misuse, even in the absence of faults. Complements ISO 26262 for systems with AI, sensors, and complex algorithms (ADAS, autonomous driving).
